My tribute to my angel-Feodor Troupe
So this month is Pregnancy And Infant Loss Awareness month. I decided to share my story about losing my son Feodor. He was the pregnancy right before Hailey (my youngest daughter). Everything was going along as scheduled. We had the amniocentisis (sp?) the day before we were scheduled to deliver him. That’s when we found out his heart had stopped beating. So they took him out via C section the next day. This happened in 2008. I was kind of a wreck. I didn’t really go out that much or do much socializing besides online. I really thought that I was a failure as a woman. Having a child is supposed to be the most natural thing on the planet. I still don’t understand why God took him. I think Hailey looks a lot like him. Anyway that’s my story.

#Occupyatlanta needs help, now! Pls retweet
For immediate release:
Occupy Atlanta Media Committee
Participants in Occupy Atlanta met with Chief Turner and his staff today and were warned that the police intended to enforce the city ordinances against camping and against being in the park after 11 pm.
Statement:
Here in the “city too busy to hate,” the city where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was born, attended college, and preached, we come to speak our own dreams.
We believe that the American political process is so corrupted by the influx of lobbyists, “free speech” corporate cash, and politicians beholden to both that it has failed us completely.
Our only option left is to occupy public spaces in order to assert our right to freely assemble and to redress our grievances, rights guaranteed to us by the First Amendment. Exerting that right has ironically become an act of civil disobedience, a fact which points out exactly what the problem really is. We owe no obedience to laws which abridge our Constitutional rights.
We need as many people to come down to Woodruff Park ASAP!

New Year’s Traditions-Why Southerners Eat Collard Greens And Black Eyed Peas On New Year’s Day
One of my friends on Facebook actually inspired me to write this post. She was talking about various New Year’s Day traditions from around the World. Quite naturally that made me think about the traditions that I’ve seen my friends and neighbors follow (and adopted myself). I decided to do some research into the Southern traditions surrounding New Year’s Day. Here goes.
First the most common thing to do on New Year’s Day if you live below the Mason Dixon line is to eat collard greens and black eyed peas. Now if you ask around you will get a wide variety of answers as to why this is. The most common answer is because the greens symbolize monetary prosperity and the black eyed peas will ensure good luck throughout the year.
According to this article that I found: http://www.suite101.com/content/new-years-black-eyed-peas-and-collard-greens-a183025 there are some more reasons. Slaves thought that if you ate black eyed peas on New Year’s Day that would mean the difference between being sold as a family or the family being split up since slaves were usually sold en masse on New Year’s Day. Another explanation given in this article is simply that collards were in season and that’s what people had on hand.
What did we eat in my household during New Year’s Day? I’m so glad you asked. We had collard greens, steak, mashed potatoes, and stuffing. I’m not that big a fan of black eyed peas so I skipped those. Besides I believe that we make our own luck by being prepared to take advantage of opportunities that come our way.
So here’s to a Happy and prosperous New Year to you and yours.

Social Networking Communities
Social Networking Communities
By Sean S Sampson
Social networking communities offer another opportunity to join the social media channels. Every effort you make to identify your brand and web presence can be increased tenfold when you join a consumer-driven and user-generated community such as MySpace, LinkedIn, or other social networking platform. These sites encourage regular interaction in a casual and conversational style; although you won’t be submitting specific articles or content, you will be growing your brand presence with your users. IN addition, you can use the Search features on any of these sites to narrow down your target market.
VIDEO SHARING
Video sharing can work well in conjunction with your article and content submissions, and is becoming especially popular with social bookmarkers. Creating and publishing videos to deliver a message can easily be picked up by many social bookmarkers and shared instantly; the idea is to create something unique and creative so that more people are driven to view it-and ultimately, head back to your website!
VIRTUAL REALITY AND EVENTS
Virtual reality and events are another way to attract new viewers to your website, and can create an instant impact with other marketing efforts. If you submit a press release about your event or the latest innovations on your website to different social bookmarking networks, the chances of increased exposure are much higher.
Making sure all of your submissions are tagged and indexed in the right categories will help you create a strong presence in the community; essentially, you are notifying your community of the upcoming event or news in press release form. If you catch onto a trend or other newsworthy subject, you can gain instant favor on a variety of social bookmarking communities such as Digg, Technorati, or Reddit. This is a great example of buzz marketing at its best, and can benefit your website promotion efforts in multiple ways.
ONLINE AUDIO EPISODES
Developing online audio episodes of content is quickly becoming a popular activity for bloggers and website owners, and including this type of media on your website can help you promote your work in a new way. The immediate attraction of audio on your website can also be submitted to social bookmarking sites and other media channels, and once you have a system in place for publishing these files on your site, you can start sharing the link on a regular basis. Sites including Digg and Technorati now have a section for podcasts and audio files; more people are becoming interested in simply listening than reading, and you can begin to reach a much wider market by taking advantage of this trend.
LIVECASTING
If you have a business or website that can create news, tips, or advice, then Livecasting may be another opportunity for you. These segments of online video are designed to share an idea, showcase an event, or even stage a seminar. The idea is to generate enough interested users who ‘join’ the session from anywhere; livecasts are online events that can be used to generate buzz. A press release that highlights the event can easily be submitted to social bookmarking sites and directories for instant exposure.
MEDIA SHARING
Media sharing is one of the precursors to social bookmarking and networking, developing from the concept of photo sharing and music exchanges. As these sites have grown, more people are learning to share and create profiles so that they can fit into different communities naturally. Flickr and Zoomr are just a couple of examples of these, and you can create a small profile of your own to join. Always remember to include al ink back to your main website, as this will be the ultimate driver of new traffic.
All of these social media platforms offer you an opportunity to establish a presence within a community, and then start to network with other individuals. Always keep in mind that any piece of content that is published on the web has potential for sharing; the link is what will be submitted to social bookmarking directories and networks, and you can work on building a profile of your won, or counting on your customers to do this for you. The goal is to create a valuable and consistent presence in a variety of social media outlets so that the chances of being bookmarked and shared are much higher.

Classic White Color for Bridal Gown
I saw this article on isnare.com and thought I’d post it here since I’ve always wondered why they decided that white was the color for wedding dresses. I haven’t done anymore research on this, but I thought this was an interesting article nonetheless. Enjoy.
Classic White Color For Bridal Gown
By Ray Fran
Ever since Queen Victoria wed in 1840, however, white has
remained the traditional color for wedding gowns and bouquets.
A woman then used her dress for Court Presentation after
marriage, usually with a different bodice. It has been accepted
taditional color of the wedding dress, but wedding gowns were
not always white. The marriage of Queen Victoria to her cousin
Albert of Saxe- Coburg in 1840 has had more influence on
weddings than any other. Queen Victoria put the wheels in
motion by marrying in white.
Though brides continued to wed in gowns of different colors,
white was now set as the color of choice for weddings and has
continued ever since. In Godey’s Lady’s Book, 1849, this
statement was printed: “ Custom has decided, from the earliest
ages, that white is the most fitting hue, whatever may be the
material. It is an emblem of the purity and innocence of
girlhood, and the unsullied heart she now yields to the chosen
one.” There is an old poem about how the color of your wedding
dress will influence your future: “Married in white, you will
have chosen all right. Married in grey , you will go far away.
Married in black, you will wish yourself back. Married in red,
you will wish yourself dead. Married in blue, you will always
be true. Married in pearl, you will live in a whirl. Married in
green, ashamed to be seen, Married in yellow, ashamed of the
fellow. Married in brown, you will live out of town. Married in
pink, your spirits will sink.”
White is still the top favorite for wedding gowns an exclusive
range of bridal gown in classic white color. Which have
the’’sublime’’quality designed by couture designer Andy anand
who believes that ‘’less is more’’, these bridal gowns are made
like a ‘’piece of art’’ they are very light white and other
shades of white color has been used to give it the classic
touch yet they are modern.
Wedding gowns have not always been elaborate, as many are
today. In the eighteenth century, poor brides dressed in simple
robes. This symbolized to her future husband that she brought
nothing with her into the marriage and would therefore not
burden him with any debt. It wasn't until the mid nineteenth
century that the all-white wedding dress became fashionable. Up
until then a bride simply wore her best dress, regardless of its
color. In 1840, Queen Victoria's pure white gown started the
trend that many women follow today.
